Position within the company:
What is your role within RMS?
Having been responsible for over 100 Opcenter implementations, I am able to bring that knowledge and experience into play during the pre-sale discussions. So whilst my role today is primarily in business development and winning new business, I am often involved in the initial kick-off sessions as well as user training.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I graduated from De-Monfort University way back in 1993 with a Degree in Engineering Technology, specialising in Manufacture and Management. This has naturally provided a solid foundation into the world of Manufacturing and the challenges faced by business.
Myself, along with a now retired mentor, established Resource Management System soon after leaving education, recognising that computer technology had an ever more important role to play in every manufacturing environment.
I was the main implementation Consultant within the business, a role I occupied for over 15 years. As a result, I am able to express an intimate technical understanding of Opcenter APS, as well as tried and tested experience in the field making solutions deliver results.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
My wife, 2 (older) children and our border collie probably occupy most of my spare time, but when I do get time to myself it’s spent playing sport. Mainly the three Triathlon disciplines – swimming, cycling and running but I also enjoy racquet sports as well – squash in winter and tennis in summer. Like many middle-aged men, I am also fascinated by golf but sadly lacking the talent, finesse and patience required to make 18 holes as enjoyable as it should be.
I’m a middle-aged snowboarding dude!
Waiting for anything – queues, traffic jams and delays send me round the bend
It really is a close call between Indian and a good old Sunday Roast.
